How Alexander can help
What happens in the lessons?
Classes are informal and friendly and focused on your interests and needs. No special clothing or equipment is required.
An introductory lesson with a new student will explore an activity as simple as sitting in a chair. Later lessons focus on an activity of your choice. Through the use of gentle questioning and touch, I will invite you to consider your habitual responses and choose simpler and easier alternatives.
Group lessons are limited to a maximum six students and involve a combination of one-to-one work and discussion of the application of the Alexander Technique.
“Pat's simple explanation of the Technique and gentle introduction enabled me to learn something new in each session. The lessons gave me things to think about in my daily routine.” |

Pat Young
PhD, Cert. Ed
My study of the Alexander Technique began with my desire to be a better
horse-rider, but I soon found it led to more
wide-ranging changes. I am more relaxed and rarely get aches and pains.
Pat is available at the Centre every Friday morning
