Well known for it’s effective treatment of
back and neck pain, Osteopathy is used to treat a wide range of other conditions from headaches to foot pain. For example as specialists in the musculo-skeletal system we treat functional problems like tennis elbow but may also ease some causes of indigestion by treating the spine relieving pressure on the nerves which supply the stomach.
Cranial osteopathy involves assessing and easing tension and restriction through the head and body through gentle palpation and movement.

| Osteopathy can make a key contribution to optimising fitness and improving the quality of life. Osteopathic treatment is safe and natural. Osteopaths are skilled at discovering the underlying causes of pain, using their hands both to identify any points of weakness or excessive strain throughout the body and to treat them using a variety of techniques such as skilled precise manipulation, massage, rhythmic relaxation and stretching of muscles, articulation of joints. We are trained in diagnosis, which means we will not treat if inappropriate and will refer on to the appropriate specialist. Treatment is patient based, which means it will be geared to you as an individual. For some acute pain 1 or 2 treatments may be all that is necessary. Chronic conditions may need ongoing maintenance. An average is 4-6 sessions. David also uses cranial-sacral osteopathic techniques which are suitable for all ages |
