Reiki is a gentle healing energy. Your body can use this energy for just about anything it needs. Here are some common reasons to use Reiki:

How reiki can help

The word Reiki literally means ‘Universal Life energy’.

As with any complementary healing, Reiki teaches us to become more aware of our physical, emotional and spiritual needs. If we feed these needs, we will be able to feed the needs of others. If we constantly give out without giving to ourselves, we will quickly deplete our natural reserves of energy and become ill.
Reiki gently balances and calms the emotions, restores self-worth and gives back a sense of purpose. When the spiritual body is healed, the emotional body will be healed, when the emotions are healed, then the physical body will be ready and prepared to accept any further healing from any source, either traditional or complementary.
A Reiki treatment will take approximately one hour. The client remains clothed at all times, only removing shoes and loosening any tight clothing. The healing takes the form of the practitioner placing their hands along the body, starting at the head and working along to the feet. Both the front and the back of the body are treated.
